Day 3 (May 29th) was spent exploring all of San Diego and then in the evening meeting up with a friends who also came to San Diego for a friend's wedding that would take place the next day. We visited Cabrillo National Monument, La Jolla (again), Torrey Pines State Park, and La Jolla (again). We went to La Jolla a lot!
Cabrillo National Monument celebrates Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, the first European explorer who set foot on the West Coast in 1542. |
Behind us is the actually monument. The area overlooks the ocean and downtown San Diego. |
There's a naval base close by so we saw big ships coming in and out along with this helicopter. And you can see the city! |
There was also a lighthouse there! |
Now we are hiking in Torrey Pines State Park. There were tons of trails that led you to different beautiful views of the ocean. |
We're still at Torrey Pines State Park. There was a trail that led you down to the beach! |
One of my friends that came out for the wedding was Sarah, my college roommate! |
Sunset behind us! We're at La Jolla again! |
The lighting is super weird/cool here. Oh! And there's a little sea lion sleeping there too! |
I love seeing a glimpse into your adventures! Also, I love that Rollin is rocking the leadership retreat T-shirt. Way to represent!
